Efficient preliminary planning and detailed engineering for smooth prefabrication and assembly
Problem definition
Precise planning was necessary for the construction and assembly of six pre-fermenter skids. The goal was to develop a well-thought-out installation concept that took maintenance, accessibility, escape routes, and dismantling into account—while also avoiding potential collisions with existing systems in the 3D model. Integrating all components (pumps, filters, heat exchangers, electrical cabinets, etc.) into a confined space while complying with technical standards was particularly challenging.
Our solution
UNISON created a CAD 3D model to prepare for the prefabrication and assembly of the six pre-fermenter skids. Installation concepts were reviewed for maintenance, accessibility, and safety, components were optimally placed in the skid, suitable fittings were selected, collision checks were performed, and piping and media rails were defined—all in close coordination with the technical requirements.
